BrentAtterton Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 When I'm using a view port and in model space and typically it's doing a dimension, I go and pick the first pick point and go to move the second point it switches to paper space? Why? I'm using AutoCAD 2020 Help Brent Quote
Dadgad Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I prefer dimensioning in Paperspace, rather than through the viewport and in Modelspace. I use AutoCad 2016, and was unable to replicate the issue of which you spoke. Perhaps it is a bug in 2020? Not sure never used it. If you are inside an active viewport, as shown in the screenshot, you might do better to use the VPMAX button which I have circed in red. After you have done so, that Icon will change to allow you to VPMIN and go back to Paperspace, on the fly. Quote
steven-g Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Do you have the latest update 2020.1.3 you can check using the 'ABOUT'' command. Quote
RobDraw Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 It sounds like you are working in a locked viewport and panning (moving?). If so, AutoCAD needs to switch to paper space while panning and then switch back to model space to execute the command. 1 Quote
