Aarya
Hi, I am not able to select by window through cursor from some days in autocad 2018 and that is creating a lot of mess of time. Please help to solve this. TIA
rkent
You will probably need to provide more information. But, a first guess is you are in paperspace and trying to select something in model space
ammobake
in some cases the viewport layer is off so it isn't clear there is one. Might be part of it. As long as you double click into the viewport it will switch into model space. You may need to lock the viewport if you don't intend to change the scaling. -ChriS
Dadgad
You might want to check your SPACESWITCH variable, as shown in the screenshot from the SYSVDLG box. The OOTB default value is <1> maybe a coworker is messing with your ride and changed it to <0>? Hope not, but worth checking. You should check your settings in OPTIONS on the SELECTION tab too. SLW210
Try SELECTIONAREA and/or PREVIEWFILTER if nothing else works. Or in Options-Selection as shown by Dadgad go to the "Visual Effects Settings...". A video or some images would be helpful, as would more detailed description of what you are doing and what's going on.
