CAHA Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Hi, I was wondering what is the quickest way people find for changing a large batch of drawings form construction status to as built. Say i have a one hundred drawings all on a title blocks, spread over ten .dwg files and each .dwg has ten paper spaces. Instead of opening the ten dwg file and then cycling through each paper space to manually change the drawing title can this be done another way? We have Autocad LT and i have never used sheets manager but assume this can do the task or is there a easier way? if you use sheet manager do I need to add fields to the title bock? if not sheet manager script? thanks for any help. CyberAngel Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 As far as I can tell, AutoCAD LT doesn't implement sheet sets. However, it does have fields. You can include a "project status" field in the appropriate place on each sheet. When the status changes from construction to asbuilt, you only have to change the field once for each drawing. If you have some programming skill, you may be able to set the same field for a group of drawing files with one command. I couldn't tell you exactly how to do that, but I'm sure someone else here can weigh in. Quote
BIGAL Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Steven-G any ideas ? In LT much harder but can run scripts no idea how to select and edit text. Maybe using select and diesel to substitute the string. Quote
