skipsophrenic Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Hi, I'm trying to hatch an arch to look like brickwork, however I cant figure out how to make the hatch follow the curve. The closest i can get is a vertical brickwork patten like demonstrated in the image below. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I don't know of any radial hatches Skipso. I'd approach it from one of three ways: 1) Create a block of the linework and add it for each instance 2) Create a solid for the brickwork and treat as above 3) Use reverse psychology on Lee by saying there's no way he could make a LISP to accomplish this. skipsophrenic Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 OK, Lee i dare you to come up with a lisp to solve my dilema! LOL , In the mean time i'll try both options 1 & 2. Quote
A1DWG Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Hi Skipso, I have had this a few times and I resort to either creating a block for a brick, or two bricks (depending on the depth of the arch) then using the array command, starting form the mid point, then mirroring the half done. Not scientific but it works (no lisps for us LT users). Quote
uddfl Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Yeah, I'd say make a block of a pattern that looks good to be repeated and polar array it. Writing a LISP is not worth it unless you have a huge number brick arches of many sizes. Quote
