ILoveMadoka Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 (edited) Vanilla Autocad 2020. I have split a table and want to move the "second table" to another sheet. Is this possible? Could someone please explain the process? Any best options for splitting a long table across multiple sheets? Also, is dragging the bottom caret at the table the only way to split the table? Inventor allows you to pick a line in the table, RMB and pick Table Split. Didn't know if Autocad has a similar option.. Thank you! Edited May 7, 2020 by ILoveMadoka Quote
tombu Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 I'd just show portions of the table in multiple layouts. 1 Quote
ILoveMadoka Posted May 7, 2020 Author Posted May 7, 2020 Using viewports? Is that the only way to split a table across multiple sheets? Quote

tombu Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Displaying portions in different viewports seemed easiest to me but there are other options: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/linking-table-cell-text-in-different-autocad-layouts/m-p/7126106#M882496 or https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/ENU/AutoCAD-Core/files/GUID-EC74C0C3-22EA-4159-B43C-479102E4639B-htm.html Quote
ILoveMadoka Posted May 7, 2020 Author Posted May 7, 2020 Lynn explained everything except splitting across sheets.. Quote
ILoveMadoka Posted May 7, 2020 Author Posted May 7, 2020 I think the viewport option will have to do. Come on Autodesk! If you can split a table and move it easily in Inventor It's not unthinkable to add the same functionality into Autocad! 1 Quote
BIGAL Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 You want like excel hide option but effective only in a viewport and can be different per viewport. It takes seconds to make a view port and viewports can sit on top of each other. Quote
