coolrox Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I am trying to trim a straigth line, which passes through a rectangular. I want the straight line inside the rectangular to be removed. However, I am not able to do that. It shows "does not intersect with the cutting edge". Can anyone shows me how to solve this problem? Quote
SLW210 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Sounds like they are not on the same plane. There are options when using trim/extend to remedy that. Posting an actual drawing file would help to determine the problem. Quote
steven-g Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Or your UCS isn't oriented correctly for those items? Again post a drawing so we can see the problem. Quote
Cad64 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I'm with steven-g. It sounds like a UCS issue. Does your UCS icon look the one on the left or the one on the right? Quote
coolrox Posted April 17, 2020 Author Posted April 17, 2020 I am using X-Y axis plane. I have tried to explode the straight line but still can't trim it. Please have a look on my attached drawing. Thanks for the help. A-10-05 Electrical Drafting.dwg Quote
SLW210 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 What exactly are you trying to trim? I trimmed the walls from the doorways fine, but the block has a line that blocks the doorway, you need to delete that from the block. Quote
