rizzoports Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I'm designing a building in Metric and am having some issues inserting blocks from the Design Center. All the blocks are coming in too small and I have to scale them up to the correct size. The blocks are inserting with imperial values instead of metric ones (ie: A toilet will insert as 21mm wide instead of 530mm). I've done some research and already checked the INSUNIT value is set to 4. Quote

rizzoports Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 I don't have that option in my version. Quote
totzky Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I can not check, maybe you have to wait for others to jump in. Stay put. Quote
rizzoports Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 It turns out everything that I insert into my drawing has to be scaled up in order to be the correct size. Scaling an object by a factor of 25.4 results in the correct sizing. I haven't had this issue before and am not sure how to solve it. Quote
dbroada Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 you need to set some variables - they are all around INS* if you use the express tool, or wait until Dipali comes on line tomorrow morning as she can remember which ones better than I can. Quote
totzky Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Try to read posts at this thread it may help. http://cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?p=101991&highlight=insunitsdefsource#post101991 Quote
rizzoports Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 Thanks Totzky, that post solved the problem. INSUNITSDEFSOURCE was set to 4, I changed it to 1 and everything inserts at the correct scale now. Quote
