There is example of copying objects from current drawing to a new drawing (https://adndevblog.typepad.com/autocad/2012/09/copying-deepcloning-from-one-drawing-to-another-using-net.html)

But it seems that objects from external drawings can not be copied to current drawing.

 

I have modified the above code to achieve this, but the WblockCloneObjects fails.

 

Am i missing something?

I know this is .net section but have a look at lee-mac steal.lsp may give some clues.
