sketch11 Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Is there a way to add Text before or after a dimension. Such as adding "NOM." after dimension "100" ... end result "100 NOM.". Using the Text override is not an option because if I change scale, I may forget to update. Quote
ReMark Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 There are a couple of different ways to add text to a dimension. A simple Internet search on "add text to AutoCAD dimensions" will bring up plenty of links to click on. Is the text going to be above or below the dimension? 1 Quote
sketch11 Posted December 9, 2019 Author Posted December 9, 2019 OK thanks, I didn't know it would be this easy. Quote
CyberAngel Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) When you add a pair of angle brackets <> in your text property, that inserts the measurement and allows you to use any other text around it. Your example would appear as "<> NOM" in the text field but show up as "100 NOM" in the dimension (assuming the measurement is 100). Edited December 9, 2019 by CyberAngel 1 Quote
