ramsay Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Does anyone know how to get a closed corner on sheet-metal bend thats not 90 degrees to each other i can get a closed butt corner with 90 degree corners but not corners at an angle ? Quote
ramsay Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 like that ceder but without the return flange at the bottom basicaly want tho close the gaps in the joins between the flanges where the angle bits are is there a function that does this or do u need to do it manualy. Quote
cedar Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 When I first looked at the top pic I thought the part was formed down. And what is material thickness looked like a return flange. To add to my confusion was seeing all those flange features. Adding the flanges individually is the problem. That forces a relief cut and screws up the continuity. Solidworks allows multiple edges within a single feature so pick all the edges. Then close corner works... but it's not needed because the gap can be controled within the flange feature. After the feature is done expand it to see that solidworks has separate entries for each flange for individual control. Click on one and see controling dimensions on the part. You can also edit each flange sketch. Quote
