PJ01 Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Hello, I have drawn dimension lines in the Layout view by mistake, and now cannot remove them. In the attached pic it is the dimension "278" on the left of the page Can anyone please advise how to remove this? The dimension is not shown on the Model screen regards, PJ Quote
SLW210 Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 It appears you are in modelspace from the layout tab, just switch it to paperspace (PS<ENTER>). Quote
PJ01 Posted July 22, 2019 Author Posted July 22, 2019 Many thanks SLW210, worked perfectly. I have never heard of Paper Space before, will follow it up Quote
ammobake Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 All tabs other than "model" are always paperspace. The viewports are like transparent windows looking into model space (if that makes sense) In some cases it's easier to put callouts and notes and stuff in paperspace over the viewport depending on the situation but, generally speaking, the meat and potatoes of your drawing are going to be in model space. On the Layout Tab, toggle into Paperspace by clicking the word "Model" right in the middle of the Statusbar. When it changes to "Paper" you'll be able to select (and erase) any objects in Paperspace It is customary to read the responses to the OP in order to know that someone already answered the question two days prior.
