Lisp to draw a line as @lenght<DDdmm'ss"

I use Autocad map 3d 2014

At work I use alot the input @lenght<DDDdmm'ss" to draw a line

I would like to have a LISP that would ask me to specify a starting point for my line, I would select a random point . Then ask the length, DD, MM, SS and would draw that line @32.345<30d15'32"

And would use the last endpoint of the created line to create a new line with the same info  until I would press ESC

There is two ways to do this as a lisp using polar command to work out next point, the other way is to replicate the @32.345<30d15'32" to the command line. In both cases you use DDD.MMSS as the input method. 30.1532.

I thought I had something already I do but it needs to be reworked will do something if someone else does not post 1st.

The version would be decimal distance.

I have two choices for input. Which is preferred.

Hi Tombu had a look and again the brg appears to be as 23d23'23" which is slow to type as you must use d ' " compared 23.2323.

If your old like me a HP 45C had a button DDD.MMSS. So I Guess HP knew what they were doing all those years ago.

It would be nice if Autocad added DDD.mmss to the units options you would here the cheers around the world from every surveyor using Autocad.

Maybe "Surveyors units2 "N ddd.mmss E" if you leave out the N & E its just a brg.

You're right!  Guess I've gotten spoiled with Civil 3D's Drawing Settings saved into my templates using decimal DMS all these years.  Been a while since I've drawn with angles in Map. Still have my last HP calculator.  Now that they've finally added US Feet to Civil 3D maybe they'll finally add DD.MMSSSS to AutoCAD.

Don't hold your breath!

I think the problem is that the US does not see that there is a problem. On their keyboard, the double quote is SHIFT single quote, which is conveniently arranged. On other keyboards the double quote is SHIFT 2, a much more difficult single handed finger exercise.
