Costinbos77
Hello everyone , I just notice , the pdf file exported with AutoCAD 2018 is not so accurate as should be . Pictures attached . 1 . Extras from AutoCAD file : 2 . Extras from pdf file : The circles should be perfectly centered to the X polyline . It is a way to obtain better resoults ? Thanks in advance . SLW210
I always use the plot with DWG to PDF.
Costinbos77
I have tried all the options from print tool . I have the same problem . I have attached a part of the dwg file . Export test dwg to pdf.dwg
rkmcswain
A print, whether physical or digital, is never going to be as accurate as the original vector drawing. I think you are reaching the limits of how accurate a print can be. You have to zoom way into the PDF to see what your blown up screenshot shows. It looks like it's about 0.008" off, unmeasurable on paper. You can crank up the vector DPI settings in the driver to get it closer, the downside is a larger PDF. This image is from a PDF created with 4800 DPI set.
Costinbos77
In my last attached picture , the circles and X shapes are very bad. So , it is possible to change the DPI value in AutoCAD, before to export the PDF file? Or to define a PDF export style?
f700es
Here are 2 PDFs from the same DWG. The "Export to PDF" has clearly worse smoothness than the "Plot to PDF" using AutoCAD 2020's Plot to PDF.pc3
Costinbos77
I am disappointed because the circles are not centered on the X or cross shapes .

Costinbos77
Hello SLW210 . Can you try to export the full layout on A3 format and upload it here? My attached pictures are small parts from A3 pdf. Edited May 26, 2019 by Costinbos77

This is using Export Export test dwg to pdf.pdf 2.86 kB · 2 downloads Export test dwg to pdf-Layout1.pdf 2.24 kB · 1 download @SLW210 - it looks like that is because you are only printing that zoomed in area. If you print the layout as given, you should get different results.
