Honda Matt Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 We use Microvellum for our drafting and programming. Currently we draw in 2D and later redo in to 3D once the project is ready for production......we are working on getting the library built up so draw in 3D from the start.....long story..... My question is, Does MV create layers when needed while drawings in 3D? There is 80 some layers and when we draw in 2D we used maybe 10. If we purge out the unused layers before we start drafting will MV create layers as needed for the 3D models once we start adding Product tot he project? Thanks ahead of time, Matt Quote
jberardi Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Yes, there are layers that get created via drawing tokens. If you want to scrub down your layers you will have to do some library modifications to reduce the amount of layers. Takes a bit of time but it's worth it if you're picky with your layers like I am Quote
