fast select question

The problem as below

1.It needs to select many object so I use zoom and windows first then use fast select.(pic1)

2.I select red area but that many close red area selection too.(pic2&3)

How to do solve this problem?

Are the red ones on a separate layer?  If yes then lock the other layers and select all.

Are the red ones assigned the color red (not on a layer with red color), then use filter option in properties, or filter command.

i am having same problem with the red ones on separate layer.

You can use Quick Select to pick a specific color or layer or block. You can narrow down the search by selecting everything in a particular area first. You can run Quick Select as many times as you need to, picking a new filter each time.

 

If you encounter this problem often, consider making a block out of object groups that occur widely and must be selected this way.

 

If this doesn't help, please provide more information.

Dear User

 

If it is in separated layer, it could be very simple. Dude I am advising you to please always use SEPARATE LAYER in every object. You will be not in trouble when editing and making take off.

With ssx you can select entities of the same type, layer, and color.  Then use Isolate Objects from the Status Bar so only what you want is displayed.  I'd group them after that to make them easier to select next time.
