samifox
hi i have a drawing that comes from another drafter, i need to draw my geometry above his, i need to include his ctb and mine in the same layout. it seems like required and legitimate task but couldn't find an easy way to do so. Please you help on this Thanks Shay
BIGAL
You can only have one ctb when you plot, but you can have as many CTB's as you want just pick one. Or make a 3rd one which is a combo of the 2 and will give say the closest answer.

That will create conflicts. Think about it. CTBs assign line weight by color. If the same color calls for a different line weight in the two CTBs, how is AutoCAD going to know which one to use? tombu
Lineweight has been a property for layers and objects for 20 versions now. No CTBs or STBs installed with AutoCAD have any preset lineweights and I haven't used a plot style to control them since r14. Why not either use Layer Translater or plot their drawing to PDF using their CTB, then underlay it in your drawing which could be plot with your CTB?
