cadmando-2 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 I recently started using AutoCAD AMLIBRARY to link our Vendor 3D blocks and custom blocks, but our main engineer/IT wants us to start using XREF. I search the web for XREF utility like AMLIBRARY and unable to find anything. Does anyone know of a robust “External Reference manager utility” lisp routine that is similar to AMLIBRARY? Quote
BIGAL Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 (edited) Probably the best way is to use tool palettes, I am old fashioned and use menus, you can also use a custom Dialouge via lisp. Some one else will provide more info than me for Tool Palettes. The image posted is using menus and can have a lot of items as the next button works. Edited October 18, 2018 by BIGAL Quote
cadmando-2 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 Ya, I'm used to old MNU format to and used tool palettes and figure by now someone would come up with smarter way of using AutoCAD Xref's. I love AutoCAD after 34 years and how you can customize it to know end. We are moving to Solidworks and still use AutoCAD! draw back on solidwork is limited to customization! they use macros. I was hoping someone would have a custom lisp routine by now. Quote
