Draftsight - ghost line

Hi, can anyone help me with how to start some geometry at a set distance from another point in Draftsight? I think this was using a 'Ghost Line' in AutoCAD.

I'd like to use this function all the time to prevent leaving unwanted geometry on drawings which can cause issues.

 

 

Apologies if I'm in the wrong place or you don't really cover Draftsight.

Or use the DraftSight Entity Snaps, brought on screen by holding down Shift key whilst pressing right mouse button.
