Bala_elec Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I have been working with autocad for some years now, but my company is thinking about adopting Revit MEP 2009 into our arsinal, of course im the guini pig, Iv read through and completed most of the tutorials, but im not grasping How to Set up the project, ex. linking architectural files and having my electrical/mech show up within the main file, Also are there any good tuturials out there that show you how to create your own object and place them in the library, we use a lot of specific products and the "boiler plate" library doesn't cut it sometimes. Thanks in advance Quote
JRevit Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 the easiest way to make new content is to edit an existing family file from the library. you could try with the boiler plate Quote
Bala_elec Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 sorry just to clarify, "boiler plate" is meant to mean generic Quote
JRevit Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 ah lol well i still would look at a file in the family editor and mess around with it. Quote
RfOeCnKdOeNr Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I suggest using the tutorials revit has built in ... they have a ton. Also, I will be starting a beginners guide to Revit in my blog within the next few weeks where I will set up the job and build a house from start to finish (all video tutorials). Quote
RfOeCnKdOeNr Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 sorry, I forgot to link it... www.therevitkid.com Quote
