Toolbars Not Maintaining Specific Properties

When I place a polyline with a global width of 4" on my site plan toolpallete, I set up the button by dragging the line over to it.

 

Then, when I try to use the button it has a width of 0", which is not what I had dragged over to the toolbar to create the button.

 

 

Correct, you'll have to use a macro to set the width of the polyline.

Any idea why this macro won't work? It doesn't make it to the pline after changing the layer.
