LISP - select objects of specific type

Can't you just use the isolate layer command?

Once you use "sphere" the object now becomes a "solid" "AcDb3dSolid" its just a command to make a certain shape.You can not tell its a ball.

Actualy there is.

 

(vla-get-SolidType (vlax-ename->vla-object (car (entsel))))

returns : 'Sphere'

Thanks Aftertouch Missed that when I did dumpit so could check type of solid.

 

SolidType (RO) =   "Sphere"

 

SolidType (RO) = "Box"
