3rald Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Hello everyone. This is my first time posting but i have enjoyed a lot of your great work. I use a lot a field about object/polyline/length - decimal 0 (copy it to different polylines and than get their lenghth) and i am tired of changing object from dialogbox. Is there an easy way (lisp or other) to change the object directly and get its length:):) Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Welcome to CADTutor You could use my Quick Field utility to create a program which will enable you to generate your fields with just two clicks: selection of an object and the insertion point for the field. Please follow the instructions I have provided on the program page, and refer to the example programs included with the utility and I'll be happy to help if you get stuck. Lee Quote

Lee Suppose I create door blocks with additional linear parameters, attributes.... But the prop information taken from the Field Command Dialog of the linear parameters, attributes... will not work with lisp (I have filled in the information: prop, format, mode as your instructions). Does that mean those parameters will not work with lisp? Quote

Unfortunately such field expressions are not currently supported by my Quick Field program - I hope to update it at some point to support field expressions referencing dynamic properties. Quote
