alexey Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 I have a small project on AutoCAD 2016. I was instructed to draw 3D model of Sydney Opera House. Can you suggest me some tips and tricks how to complete it? Espessially it is hard to model the shells. Thanks Quote
BIGAL Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 You could not have picked a more complex shape to model the shells are known for the fact that they have multiple curves, that was one of the problems that blew the budget apart. I just googled sydney opera house geometry and what came up was the answers to the shells but where to start any one into 3d well worth having a look at. Oh yes have visited a couple of times well worthwhile. Quote

How much 3D experience do you have? This is definitely not a project for a beginner. Did your instructor provide you with any sort of blueprints or are you supposed to figure it all out yourself? ReMark Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 You better start your research immediately as you have no small task on your hands. Quote
Dadgad Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Seems like a particularly challenging project, at any level of proficiency. Might your instructor have a devious sense of humor? Quote
