Hello,

I am making quite a leap from AutoCAD 2007 to 2018 and am unfamiliar with the display appearance. Right now I have a white background with a fine grid, I would like to know if it is possible to have the solid white drawing area with no grid. I have already changed the display from a dark color, by typing PREFERENCES in the command line. I am enclosing a screen shot of what I have now.

Thanking you beforehand,

Reginald

Press the F7 function key or click on the grid icon (next to the MODEL button).

It is user preference but I found the white to be very bright so we work the opposite with black, you can customise lots of stuff like I have the cross hairs red which stands out on the black background, you may find a very light grey may be a better colour than the white. I have seen pink used also. There is also only two options dark or light for the toolbars etc.

I am sure we will get lots of colour suggestions.
