reggy Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Hello, I am making quite a leap from AutoCAD 2007 to 2018 and am unfamiliar with the display appearance. Right now I have a white background with a fine grid, I would like to know if it is possible to have the solid white drawing area with no grid. I have already changed the display from a dark color, by typing PREFERENCES in the command line. I am enclosing a screen shot of what I have now. Thanking you beforehand, Reginald Quote
profcad Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Press the F7 function key or click on the grid icon (next to the MODEL button). Quote
BIGAL Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 It is user preference but I found the white to be very bright so we work the opposite with black, you can customise lots of stuff like I have the cross hairs red which stands out on the black background, you may find a very light grey may be a better colour than the white. I have seen pink used also. There is also only two options dark or light for the toolbars etc. I am sure we will get lots of colour suggestions. Quote
