TREX Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Here is my dilemma…..I have an interview Thursday. I get a call today from them asking if I could put together some sort of portfolio showing my skills in CAD. The job I’m applying for is a Project Manager position, but the company will also want me to do some minor CAD work to the project dwg’s. Here is the thing, I still know how to draw and do everything I was taught in school, but I cannot figure out how to print to my home printer. I downloaded the 2009 trial version of CAD and am able to print to an 8.5x11 sheet, but the lines and the color are so light I can hardly see the dwg. Is this a setting I need to change in CAD or on my printer? All I need is to print about 10 – 8.5x11 sheets. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Quote
ReMark Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Were you printing monochrome? Are you working with a .ctb file? Quote
TREX Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 Were you printing monochrome? Are you working with a .ctb file? i would like for it to be in color. so you can see detail better. i just figured out that my line weights did not transfer into CAD 09'. I originally did the dwg's in CAD 05. i'm just trying to print a few floor plans and wall sections...the basics Quote
TREX Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 how can i fix the line weights? will that make a difference in the printing? i know how to fix each individual line weight, but is there a way to get the dwg to open like it was done originally Quote
lpseifert Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Edit the .ctb you use to print, you can change the line weights per color Quote
