vanowm Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 (edited) Hello. I have a polimesh (yellow) that I need to cut with another polimesh (green) How can I do that? Thank you. P.S. Using AutoCAD 2002 mesh slice.dwg Edited May 15, 2017 by vanowm Updated .dwg Quote
ReMark Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 I had no luck slicing your polymesh. I also had no luck converting it to a surface. So I redrew the base geometry using 3Dpolylines which I then lofted to created lofted surfaces at which point I was able to slice the yellow colored object in your drawing. This is the result. It's cyan colored because I drew my new geometry on two different layers with distinctly different colors. Only the result of the slice is depicted. Quote
vanowm Posted May 15, 2017 Author Posted May 15, 2017 Unfortunately LOFT is not available in ACAD 2002 Quote
ReMark Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Did you use EDGESURF to create your meshes originally? Quote
vanowm Posted May 15, 2017 Author Posted May 15, 2017 (edited) No, I use RULESURF I have top and bottom splines between which RULESURF was used to create mesh. Later I "unfold" it to make it flat. P.S. Updated .dwg sample Edited May 15, 2017 by vanowm Quote
