Laurel Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hello. I am in the process of adding angular dimensions to a drawing, but cannot work out how to change the dimension style as I require (if it is indeed possible). The standard ISO-25 dim style (on my machine anyway) will draw an angle dimension similar to image A, as shown. I need to be able to add extension lines as shown in image B, but can't seem to change the dimension style to achieve this. Any suggestions? Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 What do your ettings look like in the Extension Lines field of the DimStyle Dialog box? The bottom half of the screencap below. Quote
Laurel Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 Thanks Maxwell, but I worked it out where I was going wrong. When you draw an angle dimension between two existing lines, no extension lines are drawn. For reasons I won't go into, after creating the dimension, I need to hide the layer showing the two lines, and so a dimension like A above is left. I can get around this by extending the angle dimensions beyond the end of the two lines which make the angle, so that extension lines are required and drawn as part of the dimension. Easier to do than describe Quote
