Activating worksets: what is going on behind the screen?

Been staring at the screen for way too long now. I have some rvt model of about 75 mb with 10 workset def. When i set them to 'editable' it takes ages to close with ok. Even activating the workset button on the bottom of the screen take more then 30 sec. !? Why? I think in the active session (without any save?) it is trying to map to the central model,.. am i right..

 

 

moral of this: ..just work in the office on the network at appropriate hours. ;-)
