ReMark Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Please try to remain calm. The process of converting from a drawing to a PDF will result in file bloat unless you are using AutoCAD 2017 which I believe has some built in ability to minimize the problem. Options now available in AutoCAD 2017... Quote
Dana W Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 You also want to make sure thst you are NOT including block and layer data in the pdf output, and create the pdf's at the lowest possible resolution (print quality) level. Options - Plot and Publish - Add or configure plotters - double click the dwg to pdf plotter file you use - pick custom properties - then uncheck INCLUDE LAYER INFORMATION. While you are in the custom properties, make sure your resolution is no greater than 300 dpi. Then, go to Publish Options and uncheck layer and block info too. This includes Auto Publish. Unless a client expressly wants layer info in the pdf NEVER include it. Quote
