"Cannot Sweep or extrude a self intersecting curve"

Hello everybody...I'm Drawing a 3d house and am unable to extrude a door frame. Everytime i try to extrude it, this error appears "Cannot Sweep or extrude a self intersecting curve"..please find the attached file.

I'm not on my CAD computer at the moment but it sounds as thought the profile you are working with has a design flaw. Redraw it and try again.

 

Yep, just as I said. Your door profile is at fault. The line at the bottom in what would be the opening of the door should not be there. Once you fix that error you can extrude the door frame. I know because I tested it myself. Got it? Good. Do it.

Try to trim the line at the bottom. It should work.
