Years ago this variable brought up a dialog box.

Is that still available?

I use this so seldom that I have trouble remembering the options.

Not quite right ddptype for older versions, maybe 2014 like Rkmcswain above can not test, Autodesk changed the rules at some stage and made it ptype. Or more confusing can use both.

DDPTYPE was replaced with PTYPE in AutoCAD 2015.

You can still use DDPTYPE in 2015-2017 if you use the stock "acad.pgp" file, since the alias is defined in there. [DDPTYPE, *PTYPE]

When they first started adding Dialog Box commands to AutoCAD they prefixed them all with "DD" to let you know. Since Dialog Boxes, Ribbon Interfaces, and Palettes have become the norm they've dropped that. Now command line only versions of those commands when available are prefixed with "-".

Interesting our 2016 CiV3d says DDPTYPE Unknown command ! Will double check for a diffrent Acad.pgp being loaded.

DDPTYPE (Command) Civil 3D 2017 Help

Specifies the display style and size of point objects.

Obsolete. Executes the PTYPE command.

Should probably update a few of our partial CUIX macros instead of waiting until they stop working.
