Springbok1 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Previously, when I would do a command such as move, the square in the middle of the cross hairs disappears, and just the crosshairs remain, making it more accurate. Now, however if I type MOVE and Enter, the square doesn't disappear, it gets a little bit bigger... really frustrating... any help would be great thanks!!! Quote
Springbok1 Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Set APBOX to zero... I found the answer... Quote
Dadgad Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Welcome to CADTutor Springbok1. Just in case you might not be familiar with the SYSVDLG command, it can be incredibly helpful. It opens a dialog wherein you can learn plenty, as it describes the various options which are available for the zillion different System Variables. Whenever you have the need or the extra time, scroll through the list, or just use your cursor button, and no doubt you will find some settings that you might want to change. It is a wonderful reference. It is a good idea, to write down any variable settings which you have changed, in case you later find the new setting not to your taste, and want to undo a particular change. If you are, like myself, given to changing lots of the variable settings, it is a VERY GOOD idea, to use the SAVE ALL button at the bottom of the dialog box, to create an .SVF, and put it someplace safe, as there will likely come a time when you will wish you had, should you need to RESTORE your personal custom settings, or copy them onto another computer. BMWMetro Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Thank you for the APBOX solution. I had the opposite problem when moving to a new computer AND moving up to AutoCAD 2025. I WANTED the pickbox to remain when moving and copying objects. Changing APBOX from 0 to 1 fixed that for me. Quote
