NEWMAN1006 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 sitting at my computer i open a DWG and the contour lines are not there Sitting a different computer they do show up Any ideas? and yes the layer is on on both dwg's when i open them Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 One computer sucks? Maybe that is overstating the case but could it be a graphics related problem? Is there a difference between the two computers? Quote
NEWMAN1006 Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 Lol everything sucks here but as far as I know they are the same crappy computers Quote
ReMark Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 So you have only two crappy computers that you can open the drawing on? Since the drawing probably needs to be edited then I would switch seats and work on the computer that allows you to see the contours. You can worry about the "why" of the problem after you have met your deadline. Quote
ReMark Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 If you'd be willing to attach the drawing to a post I'd have a look at it although I've not running Civil 3D and more importantly my computer isn't crap...yet. Quote
Murph_map Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Are the contours civil3d objects? Are you opening in C3D on both computers, and the same version? Or are they polylines and you are using plain AutoCAD? Quote
BIGAL Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Like everybody else if you open a civ3d dwg on a plain Autocad contours will not appear, download Proxy objects enabler from Autodesk if this is the case. Quote
NEWMAN1006 Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Thanks everyone I tried to download the DWG and then Zip it but its still to large The office solution was to just change seats until I was done with the DWG. Quote
alanjt Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 If you are seeing the following image in the top-left corner, type "LEVELOFDETAILOFF". Quote
