smorales02
what proccess do you use when scaling a VP to 1/4"?
Hoover
I create a viewport by clicking the "Single Viewport" button on my toolbar. After creating the viewport I click on the "Model or Paperspace" button on the very bottom (next to OSNAP/OTRACK/DYN/LWT....) From there I go to the "Viewport Scale Control" tool in the toolbar and select 1/4"=1'-0" There is not an option to scale it by 1"=50'
MaxwellEdison
The viewport scale is the reciprocal of the scale factor. So 1"=50' gives a scale factor of 600. The reciprocal would be ~.00166667 or 1/600. You can also use SCALELISTEDIT to add the desired scale to your list. And where it says "___ paper units = ___ drawing units" you can simply insert it there (i.e. 1" paper units = 50' drawing units) and name it however you desire. Call it Fred if you want
smorales02
Or you can make your VP active and start the ZOOM command than enter 1/50xp and hit enter. That would work, wouldnt it?

MaxwellEdison
Heh, just be careful if you happen to use any fields which pull the viewport scale...It could be a little akward explaining to your Boss what "Scale: Fred" means and why he shouldn't fire you.
