Problems with Polar Array

Will someone here help me out on this. I am obviously missing something basic here.

I am attempting to get a polar array by indexing a circle 5 times this is the exact sequence that I am using:

 

after drawing a 1" circle

command line:

 

ar, enter

select object - select circle, enter

enter type of array R P - P, enter

specify center point of array - select center of circle

enter number of items in array - 5, enter

rotate arrayed object yes no y, enter

You're using an older version of Autocad, so the command sequence is different from mine, but try this.

 

ar, enter

select object - (select the line that you want to array), enter

enter type of array R P - P, enter

specify center point of array - select center of circle

enter number of items in array - 5, enter

rotate arrayed object yes no y, enter

 

Also, I believe you have left out an option that appears at the command prompt after "Number of Items", which is "Angle to Fill". This should be set to 360 if you want to array all the way around the circle.
