mdemco
Hello all, I am new to upgrading the AutoCAD program and am having some issue. Firstly I am on a new computer as well as going from 07 to 09. To make sure I would not have issues I installed 09 first on my old computer and was able to make everything work. On the new machine I transferred my tool palettes I needed on the new program but am having two major issues. The first is with my tool pallete commands, I get an error of Macro not found when I try and run the custom commands we had programmed into the machine. And the second is when I open drawings I created in my 07 version I get the proxy graphics missing message. I noticed when I installed onto the old computer it updated and pulled settings form the existing 07 setup. On the new machine 07 was not there so obviously this did not happen. Is there a file I can transfer onto the new machine to get these settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Electroman7979
For the macros this might help. on your old computer, look in Menu Browser, Options, under the File tab, most the way down is a menu for "action recorder settings". Try transfering that folder to the location on your new computer. I was just looking that up for myself this morning because transferring to a new computer as well. Hope that helps. -J
mdemco
I also should mention I tried downloading the Object Enabler from the AutoCAD website and still get the proxy messages. EDIT: through searching the site I found you can actually read in the Proxy display message which enablers are missing. I downloaded another from the autodesk site and now have the proxy message taken care off. Now I gotta work on these macros!!!
