Help Rotating 3D View / Measuring 3D Object Rotation Angle

Hi all,

I have a 2D elevation of the inside of a room. Someone other than myself placed a 3D object (of some speakers) on this 2D elevation, and I would like to figure out rotation angles are of these objects.

Typically in straight 2D drawing, I would just draw some reference lines and measure with DIMANGULAR or some other method.

I've attached two images. One is the 2D elevation. The other is another copy of the same 3D objects over a 2D floor plan.

Generally if I can figure out the "down angle" of these speakers, when we hang them, it's just a matter of putting a digital angle finder on the top and adjusting accordingly.

We generally use other software (EASE) for this sort of thing but the data is not available for this project. That said, I'd like to know how you'd go about this for future reference.

Since the speakers are 3D I would draw the room in 3D too then place the speakers the required distance off the walls and above the floor after which I would adjust the angle of the speakers.

Well, I'm not trying to redraw this.. just measure the placement of the speakers, relative to each axis, referenced to say the top face or back face of the speaker. I'm guessing there is a way to do this since the speakers were placed on the 2D drawing even though they are 3D objects.

Shouldn't you be able to use the Distance or Measure command to get what you need off the drawing you have?
