When running macro, detect if anything is currently selected

Hello, I have a autocad macro that run some commands ( explode, pedit etc etc ) on ALL items in the current drawing.

 

 

I wish to alter the vba so that detects if there are currently selected items when it is run, then if the condition is no, it runs on all items in the drawing. If the answer is yes it runs the commands only on the selected items

 

 

Is this possible ?
