hi. I am searching for a lisp to rotate always my blocks only in viewports to horizontal irrespective of the ucs angle.

Block0 = block90

I preselect the option in properties to all my blocks to match orientation to layout but when i insert the block is not working automaticaly. I have ti do the same option again after the insert to all blocks. I am searching for a lisp to select all the block and add this option

Thanks

As far as I know you cannot have separate rotation angles specific to a viewport. If the block is rotated in viewport it is also rotated in model and everly other viewport.

When you make a block is an option "match orientation to layout ". If you have alredy a block and insert it in the drawing this option is unchecked and you have to go to the block editor and check this option to every one block one by one. If you use a lot of blocks this is hard. So i ask if it possible to write a lisp ans open a window with a list of all blocks in the drawing and the select the only blocks i want throu this list and check the option "match orientation to layout ".

I have to ask something else

the blocks I use have attributes and annotated. My problem is, when I define the block to "match orientation to layout", the grip on the text goes away, and I can only move the text and symbol together as one block. Anybody know what might cause this? Hope i did a good job explaining.

Thanks

If a block is created without being annotative and the match layout option, I have far as I know, cannot be changed via LISP or VLISP to be annotative and matched to layout. I tested the other issue that you had asked. I created an annotative block with an attribute matched to layout. I started manipulating the block by trying to rotate via the rotate command and via the grip rotate. They produce different results. I can't, for the life of me, see how anyone would find this feature useful. I believe that the more simplistic a drawing is the more efficient & less frustrating it is to work with. But that's just my opinion. I personally would not use this feature in any case. Sorry that I couldn't be of any help.
