Civardi Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Hi, I heard it is possible to create a real time section/elevation of a 3d model. Similar to 'sectionplane' I am familiar with cutting section planes and created 2d blocks of 3d model. This is not what I am after... I want to know if there is a command that will take a flatshot like snap of a 3d model and have it remain live so if I modify the 3d model it is reflected ion real time into the 2d snap shot/elevation/section Quote
Dadgad Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 It sounds like you may be describing a LIVE SECTION, which I have never used, but that may help you. I just googled, and pulled up this link, http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/files/WS1a9193826455f5ffa23ce210c4a30acaf-666c.htm Quote
Civardi Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Nope! Already familiar with that. Found what i was looking for. VIEWBASE command. Creates sections and elevations all live and relative to the model selected! Awesome command! Quote

Creates sections and elevations all live and relative to the model selected! Awesome command! Good, originally I was going to suggest it, as it was introduced in 2013. It was greatly improved in subsequent releases. Sorry I didn't mention it. Glad you found and like it! Quote
