couves Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Hi i need some help to extrude a path with an angle and a curve. Dont know what to use. Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 It appears the ends of the two 3D models have different orientations. Were you looking to make a transition piece between the two? Quote
couves Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 Well i wanted to make a suporte for stair bases. Like the image shows. But cant fill whats left. Ive tried extrude of an rectangle using path but doesnt work. Do you have any other idea? Quote

ReMark Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Attach a copy of the drawing to your next post that way we'll be working with the same geometry you are. Thank you. Quote
couves Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Ive attached the autocad file. Ive tested using sweep and extrude but it doesnt give me the orientation i want. Please try giving me a solution . Thanks STAIRS.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Best I can come up with at the moment after a couple false starts. Saved in 2010 file format. StairCenterRail.dwg Quote
scj Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 You can try the LOFT-command. Draw the two rectangles (cross-sections) first and make SPLINES for the guide lines (see layer scj-guidelines) Good luck Jochen STAIRS_scj.dwg Quote
couves Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Thanks Remark for your help. Can you explain how yo did it? Scj i think your solution is great. Im going to try it with your explanation to practice and see if i can get there. Ill let you people know. Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Down and dirty. Used THREE rectangles and the LOFT command. Quote
couves Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Thanks Reark. Ive tried your method and works. the onlu problem is the start. the rectangle must strart flat Scj ive drawn the two rectangles 1 on "y" and 1 on "x". Im not getting right with the splines because of the curve each spline must make. Can you explain how you drew the splines? Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 "the rectangle must start flat" You mean to tell me you really can't figure out that one minor detail? Come on.......think. Quote
