swats Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I just upgraded my computer at work to Windows 10 pro. I am using Autocad 2012 on it. I am also have my OS running the fall update that came out last week. (The one that is supposed to allow changing the windows title bar colors.) My issue is the title bar for Autocad 2012 still remains to be white with white text. All the other title bars seem to change to the color I set within Windows 10. Any ideas? If I change my Windows theme to a high contrast one, the title bar for Autocad changes to the old style grey. This should be simple, but I have spent the last couple of hours trying to figure it out. I have my computer at home also running Windows 10 pro, with Autocad 2012 for the last three months. I have not opened Autocad there in awhile and right now I cannot remember if the title bar behaved correctly or not. I will check later when I get home. Thanks. Quote
nukecad Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 It is probably Autocad itself. Autocad has yet to catch up with Windows 10. Except for Autocad 2016 that is, 2016 Service Pack 1 is suposed to add better Windows 10 compatability for Win10 Enterprise and Professional versions. http://download.autodesk.com/us/support/files/autocadlt_2016_service_pack_1/AutoCAD_2016_and_AutoCAD_LT_2016_SP1_Enu.htm#Information_for_Windows_10_Users Quote
swats Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Ok, I will update this what I have found as a possible work around. After checking my computer at home to find that Autocad also showing a white title bar with I assume white text. I did some more research. I ran across a recommendation for a program called Winaero Tweaker. The program can change a number of user interface settings, and other things. What I did was enabled the Aero Lite Windows theme. The title bars now look like the ones from Windows 8, but at least the Autocad title bar is no longer white. As a side benefit the open/close/minimize buttons are easier to see. Quote
Handiman Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I am probably missing the problem you are having. But just in case, if you are talking about the AutoCAD title bar aren't those changes made in AutoCAD through the Tools/Options/Display Tab? If this isn't it, Good Luck on your trouble shooting.
