texaspete88 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Hi, My boss has asked me to look out a filing system where all our employees can save and store revised files that only employees can access, with a search engine that we can find anything we are looking for and also access this remotely. Can anyone recommend such a software we can purchase? Many thanks, Texaspete88:shock: Quote
ReMark Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 What is your connection to Trix Systems? Quote

stevsmith Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Pretty sure that Grabcad also offer a free cloud based pdm. It's basically all set up (plug and play) https://grabcad.com/workbench Quote

I have been trying to convince my company to go with vault. Some other options may be BIM Glue. From my understanding this is more for active design and projects. Also A360 similar to BIM Glue but more of a filing system as opposed to a project management tool if i understand it correctly. There is some thing new being developed that autodesk is making noise about: Project Alexandria, but i think its the next phase iteration of BIM Glue I don't know of the search ability of any of those stems though... On top of those programs you may want to develop (if you havent already) a file naming convention. This would help with the searching. Quote
