Drawing Filing System

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My boss has asked me to look out a filing system where all our employees can save and store revised files that only employees can access, with a search engine that we can find anything we are looking for and also access this remotely. Can anyone recommend such a software we can purchase?

Many thanks,

Enterprise PDM

Autodesk Vault

Epicor

PTC Windchill

Unfortunately the DMS i use dily is not meant for CAD so i can only dream about a CAD-centric DMS. I have been trying to convince my company to go with vault.

Some other options may be BIM Glue. From my understanding this is more for active design and projects.

Also A360 similar to BIM Glue but more of a filing system as opposed to a project management tool if i understand it correctly.

There is some thing new being developed that autodesk is making noise about: Project Alexandria, but i think its the next phase iteration of BIM Glue

I don't know of the search ability of any of those stems though...

On top of those programs you may want to develop (if you havent already) a file naming convention. This would help with the searching.
