How do i get out of 3d workspace????????

I have found lots of people asking the question on how to change from 3d to 2d but I think they are asking the wrong question. Like me I am willing to bet that they are looking for the 2d WORKSPACE. I have been working in 2d workspace since i started CAD/CAM in college and i wanted to try out a 3d drawing. I followed a YouTube video and he has me get to a 3d workspace where box and extrude is in the top left corner rather than the drawing tools i been working with for a month. I went back to the video and it doesn't seem to give a way to get back. Can anyone help?

Look here, and select AutoCad 2D Drafting and Annotation. If it's not there, click the last button to the right of the taskbar (three horizontal bars) and select Workspace Switching from the popup menu.

There is a gear type icon in the lower right hand corner of your screen. Use it to switch between Drafting & Annotation (2D) and the 3D Modeling workspace.

Or....are you looking to open a new drawing using a 2D template? If that's the case choose acad.dwt.

Glad we could help. There is a Tutorials button at the top left of the forum window. The Basics is one of the topics. I'm pretty sure Workspaces is in that one.
