Hi all,

Half the office has recently updated to ACAD 2015 the rest are still using ACAD 2010. When we print with the office standard CTB file in ACAD 2015 some of the lines plot thicker at random (i have attached a PDF as an example, i have also attached a screen shot of the CTB plot style table editor). Plotting from ACAD 2010 works perfect. The printer we use is a Toshiba estudio 4555c if that helps. It is color 6 that is the issue and sometimes color 8.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, have a good day

Are you plotting the PDFs or directly from AutoCAD? Is the output the same for both?

Hi RobDraw,

I plotted both the drawings from autocad 2010/2015 and scanned them with the printer. When I plot to pdf directly from autocad then print the PDFs they come out fine (the colors are a little bit different). But I want to be able to plot directly from autocad without having to make PDFs everytime before I plot.

Cheers, Thanks for the help

The images are too small to give a good look but I think I see other differences. I would check the printer settings carefully for any differences.

I had a problem similar to this once and I solved it by taking the pc3, could have been a windows plot driver can't remember, from the old computer and replaced the one on the new computer. Problem went away.

If I recall correctly I think it was a dwf pc3 but I'm not sure. The point is that files get updated and sometimes you just need to rewind to make things work right with older hardware.

Good luck!

Yeah, the PC3 file contains the printer settings for AutoCAD. I would shy away from using the old file. Just match the settings.

Hi all sorry for taking so long.

The CTB and PC3 files are on the server (use the same one for 2010 and 2015).

I havent had a chance to go through all the printer settings, but I will when I get the chance.

Thanks for the help, have a good one
