Nardino Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Hello Can somebod tell me what the "Base Elevation" is? I have 3 surfaces on the same file and i was trying to set the contuor interval different from one surface to the other. But it seems as I change in one, the other 2 change in the same way. I was changing the minor interval at 2m and major at 5m, and all the others changed too. So basically I needed to have different intervals in each surface. Any help would be as always appreciated. BIGAL Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I have 5 surfaces you just have to go to each 1 individually and set the style, slopes arrows plus triangles plus contours etc Quote
BlackBox Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Civil 3D is a Style-based environment, meaning any Surface that has the modified Stlye will also reflect the changes made to the Style. One simple way to accomplish what you're after is to Copy the Style as a starting point, and then modify the Style Copy so it is different to suit your needs. Cheers Quote
Nardino Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 I changed the style on one individual surface, but when i change the contuor interval to one style, somehow the other styles change also. Quote
BlackBox Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 I changed the style on one individual surface, but when i change the contuor interval to one style, somehow the other styles change also. If the same Surface Style is applied to multiple Surfaces, then they will also be changed as a result of modifying the Style (that's the point of using Styles)... Try applying a different Surface Style to your other Surfaces. Quote
Nardino Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 BlackBox, I agree with you, but somehow it is not happening. I am enclosing a TestSurface. On this drawing there are 2 surfaces. Surface 1 in which i would like the contour interval to be at 2m and 10m and on surface 0 to have contour interval at 1m and 5m. Take a look if you or anybody else has a few minutes to spare. thanks TestSurface.dwg Quote
Hippe013 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Right Click on your surface and go to Surface Properties. Under the information Tab go to Surface Style and switch it to a different Style. I went ahead and made the change. See your attached drawing. TestSurface.dwg Quote
