indigo Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hi Guys, Can you help me identify the R20 on the picture I'm a little bit confused if its an offset distance or the radius of the arc....I'm also confused with the 25mm dimension on the leftside corner top view of the drawing Please help Thanks.. Tiger Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hi Indigo, I deleted your duplicate thread in the Solid Works-area - I'm assuming this is an AutoCAD-question? I would interpret the R20 as the radius measurement of the outer arc, you see the little arrow is attached to the outer arc. The 25 mm measurement is between the two lines that the measurement is connected to. Quote
indigo Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Hi, I'm using solidworks at the moment.. I quite got it my only problem is the R20 ...does this mean i have to offset the inner arc to 20 ? thanks.. Quote
ReMark Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 The overall size of the outer ring is 60x40. The overall size of the inner ring is 40x25. Is you were to offset the inner ring a distance of 20 units that would result in an object with an overall size of 80x65. That would be incorrect. Maybe this will help. Quote
ReMark Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Sorry about the double image above. Still trying to sort the problem out. Quote
