Tiger Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Yo Folks! AutoCAD (civil 3D, but I doubt that it is a civil-problem really) 2015 today. Trying to draw a line and fails, here's what I do. I have Dynamic Input on and Polar Tracking is set to Relative to last segment, I have a line drawn. I start the LINE command, klick on the End of the already drawn line and want to draw a new line in the same direction as the old one - so I move the cursor in the general direction and Relative Polar kicks in, and I type the distance aaaaand nothing happens. At the cursor I can read "Relative Polar 0.000 Now here is the kicker, this happens every time in one template (so brand new drawing), the ACADISO one, but not in the Civil 3D template. In the Civil-template, it works as I expect, the Relative Polar kicks in and I get to type in a distance. Has anyone experienced this? Quote
rkent Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 It almost sounds like you aren't working in the WCS or at least the UCS is rotated and your Plan setting is not set to work in the X,Y plane. The template may have been altered causing it to happen every time. Do you have the UCSICON on at all times? Helps to notice things like this. Quote
Tiger Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Nope, nothing happens with the UCS Icon unfortunatly... You can see the white box right where the line ends, that is the box that you type in when you write a distance, but nothing happens. What comes out is a line with 0 length. Quote
rkent Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Maybe upload a drawing showing this behavior so we can have a look. Quote
