tabithahw Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I have inherited a project that was created by a non cad user. it has many many issues. I recreated profiles they were just hand drawn. Now when I xref them into my sheets the line work that is not autocad generated shows up but generated does not. Such as my grid lines etc. Does anyone have any clue why or how I can fix? Quote
JerryG Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 It sounds like a Layer issue. Turn on and unfreeze ALL the layers and see if you can now see the missing linework etc. Quote
tabithahw Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 I wish it were a layer issue! I have turned on thawed everything. Nothing works. Quote
Dadgad Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Welcome to CADTutor. If the gridlines were not drawn, in the xref, but merely turned on in the display, they won't display when inserted in the other drawing. You will need to turn on the GRID in the other drawing. What are the layer colors in the layers which are not displaying? Might they be BLACK? Might you have wanted to select Layer color 7, if that is the problem, so that the lines show up on a light or dark background? Quote
MillerMG Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Even if you thaw and turn on all the layers if the profile is set to a non plot layer then it will look turned on but it will not plot. Quote
