I searched the universe and can't find this answer,

Sometimes I find an existing dimension where one end has the node that has been collapsed to the tip of the arrow, I can't figure out how to pull it back off the arrow tip. I use 2011, any ideas?

Thanks!

I moved your thread to the AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface Forum.

If I understand you correctly, just grab the grip on the dimension text and move it, you should now have an extension line.

If that doesn't work, the extension line may be turned off, check using properties.

If you still can't get it, post a .dwg that has this behavior.

That must have taken a while. Welcome back.

Following along with SLW's comments, does this illustrate the problem? .... a solution?

I also forgot to mention, you may also need to select "Keep Dimline with text" under Fit Options.
